After being launched, the Russian flight controllers lost contact with their rocket after launch and have not been able to regain contact. The capsule contains three tons of cargo, but it is expected to burn up on re-entry.
It is possible that some large pieces may hit earth's surface. Predicting where is impossible, the scientists say, due to high altitude air currents.
The Joint Space Operations Center, which is a U.S. Air Force agency, predicts that re-entry will be around 9:36pm EDT, and that it will be over China.
