Once the threat was perceived, two F-16 fighters were dispatched to meet the planes, both of which were from Portland, Oregon, and one plane was with Southwest Airlines and the other was from Delta. The FBI looked at the threats as being credible.
The planes were ordered to taxi to an area remote to the main buildings. Police searched the planes and found nothing.
After the passengers and the aircraft had been re-screened, the passengers were loaded back on the aircraft, and they took off for their next destination.
