The one country that has had the highest number of infections and deaths – Liberia – is seeing a decrease. They may also be seeing a leveling off of new infections from all three of the infected countries.
The new pace is about 1,000 new cases in all three countries per week. This is much better than the ever growing numbers seen in recent weeks.
While the numbers that are coming in are looking better, the data is not believed to be accurate. The reports vary considerably. The total number of those infected is believed to be around 20,000 cases in the three countries.
