Altogether, there are about 153 women, and 300 children who were freed. It is not believed that any of the girls are from the initial kidnapping in the school incident in Chibok. Some of those girls did escape their captors, but 219 are still missing.
During the rescue attempt, some of the captives fired weapons at the rescuers. Eight women were shot, and so were four soldiers. Several people died in the rescue operation, which took place at nine terrorist camps.
