Although Brittany had surgery, there was little the doctors could do for her. She suffered a lot of pain from her cancer, and her doctors said she had only months to live.
Some months ago, she was given some aid-in-dying medication. She publicly said that she would end her life on a specific day – but put it off for a couple of days. Today, she died in her bed, as she had said, with her family by her side.
Before she died, Brittany fulfilled a number of things she had chosen to do before her death. She claimed to have completed all the things on her "bucket list."
I am sure that her family will miss her.
Note: The Bible tells the believer that we belong to God. We are not our own, according to I Corinthians 6:19: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” He alone has the rightful power over life and death. While death certainly is not always pretty, God knows when it's time and He promises grace until then - as we look to Him. Let me also add that things like deathbed testimonies have led to the saving of people who otherwise would not listen. Even in death, He can get the glory.
