As Christians, it is important to take a look at the past year and examine where and how you could serve God better. Although believers will never be perfect this side of Heaven, we have a powerful advantage over those who do not know the Lord. We have the Holy Spirit to help us to walk in His steps.
A couple of my recent posts have talked about revival. Someone once said that Christians have become so subnormal, that when a revived believer appears, that he or she will appear to be a super-Christian. Unfortunately, there are not very many around. What God wants is that each of His children be like the Lord Jesus Christ.
Since 2020 has started as of today, it is a good idea to consider the words of God in Hosea 10:12: "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you."
What he is saying is that if you find that your heart is not focused on God and His will that it is time to repent of it in prayer and ask for His strength to live for Him. It does not mean that everything will go well, but it does mean that He will go with you, will strengthen you, and will guide and bless you.
Will you live for Him this year? Why not stop right now and ask God to guide you and give you strength as you seek to do His will according to the Bible? In order to proceed, you will need to be in church regularly and reading the Word daily. God loves you and blesses those who truly follow Him.
