One World Trade Center, like the buildings it replaced, is the tallest building in the United States. The cost of the new monument is $3.9 billion, and it is 104 stories tall. The height of the building was chosen for its reminder of America's freedom – 1776 feet tall.
One company that will be moving in right away is Conde Nast, the publisher. A small crew will be moving in soon, but sometime next year there will be about 3,400 employees on five floors.
So far, about 60 percent of the building has been leased. One government agency is also moving in – the General Services Administration (GSA). They will occupy a massive 275,000 square feet of the building.
Note: Spiritually speaking, God has erected a monument that speaks of the forever freedom of every believer. The Cross of Christ will always be sufficient for salvation and can never be torn down by its enemies. Christ is on the throne forever and all who come to Him for salvation by faith can find it.
