California often has problems with winds. This time the winds were strong enough to knock down trees and power lines in the Southland area The result was that 25,000 California residents in the area are now without power.
To make matters worse, meteorologists are saying that tomorrow will be more of the same. Winds are expected to remain strong through Sunday afternoon.
Wind gusts had reached up to 75 mph in the mountains near Los Angeles, but were lower in the valley. California residents who are driving need to be cautious and watch for crosswinds.
Repairs are expected to take up to 12 hours to restore the power to the Los Angeles area’s customers.
