The Pentagon has said that the hospital costs about $22 million, and it is being supplied to answer the request for help by the U.S. Agency for International Development. This agency is directing the efforts of the US in helping to control the Ebola outbreak.
Once the hospital is built, the Pentagon says, it will be turned over to the Nigerians. US military personnel will not be treating Ebola patients.
WHO has made it known that the time to control the Ebola outbreak is now. Waiting much longer will be much more expensive and it will definitely spread to more nations – including the US. There is also the possibility, President Obama said, that it could mutate and become more easily spread.
