Naturally, a recruiter for a terrorist group like ISIS is only going to tell the interested recruit the glory side – what they want to hear. Stories have been coming out lately that it is not as glorious as they had thought, and some young and unthinking recruits have quickly become disillusioned by what they really find.
In a news article from Yahoo, an activist who opposes ISIS has claimed that he has verified that ISIS has executed 100 foreigners who tried to flee. Each of them had been at the ISIS headquarters in Raqqa, Syria. This activist is also well-known to British businessmen.
Some of the foreign fighters have even been arrested by ISIS when they did not report for duty. ISIS has created its own "police" to arrest deserters.
Many of the foreign fighters have also learned that they probably cannot go back to their own country, either. If they do, some countries will immediately place them under arrest for joining a terrorist organization.
In recent days, the Islamist State has suffered some serious losses. Most likely, there will be many more to come before long.
Comment: The Bible teaches believers that you will reap what you sow. Even if the reaping does not come soon, don’t worry – it will come. People who join a murderous group of people who justify their evil deeds by religion will find that they also will be received like murderers – and treated like them, too. God will judge everyone one day and all their evil deeds will be revealed, and accounted for.
Thank God that there is a real pardon in the Lord Jesus Christ for those who humbly seek His mercy and salvation. Man may still require justice, however, for evil deeds against society.
