The child of God can have a totally different perspective on life – even when things seemingly go bad. Of course, by child of God, I mean someone who has believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to be their Savior and has been born again.
We all can admit that there are often things occurring in our lives that we would rather do without. Either they are happening to you or to someone you know and love.
This may cause you to wonder about God's love. When you remember that God gave His Son to die for you when you were still a sinner, you have to admit that it indicates a love beyond anything we can understand. God wants you to remember that.
The above verse is Gods' promise that everything will work out for good in the end. The end, of course, is when you stand before Him in glory.
The verse is not saying that you will have a great life and everything will go right. We all can experience things we do not want - disease, financial problems, marital problems, relationship problems, etc. God does not necessarily keep His children from them but He does promise to go with them through those valleys when He permits them to come.
Because we have His promise that it will all work out in the end, it enables us to continue to serve Him knowing that He will take care of us. We are to continue to trust Him. We have His Word to help us and to grow our faith. In Heb. 13:5, He tells us: "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
