He had been breaking into some cars, and that's when the police came looking for him. While interviewing him, the boy told them he wanted to kill people at school. They soon found two explosive devices and a handgun. Looking around some more, they discovered materials to make more bombs.
What was not revealed earlier is that the boy, Sash Alexander Nemphos, had taken the gun to school on Halloween with the intent to kill. He decided to wait, however, when he had forgotten to bring the explosives – because he was too drunk to remember them.
The police – praise God – arrested him before he could try again – that next Monday. He is going to be charged as an adult.
Comment: In this case God spared a lot of people. It was not an accident. It is interesting that neither the original article nor the source on this one say anything about the parents. Something is wrong. Where did the boy get the alcohol from? What put him up to this horrible act? I can't help but think that if he were in a Bible-preaching church regularly that it would most likely not have happened. The Bible tells us: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).
Since they took God out of the schools, they have had to put metal detectors in – and somehow the gun was missed. I hope there are some teachers and students who are thanking God today that a major disaster was averted.
There are many young people caught up in trouble that is similar to this young man. If Christians would pay more attention to them, and work to bring them to church and to Christ, it would make a world of difference for all concerned – both now and forever!
