So far, seven deaths have been reported. Five of them occurred in New York, and three of them were from people shoveling snow. One death was reported in New Hampshire and another in Michigan.
An unusual event that has happened with this cold wave is that all 50 states had temperatures less than freezing. Even Hawaii saw these kind of temperatures, but as it might be expected, it was on top of a mountain.
Before the snow is finished, several places are expected to end up with snow that is more than six feet deep. In some areas, it will keep on snowing through Friday.
