The new ban will close down places where Ebola might be spread due to closer contact with a lot of people. The ban includes places like shops and markets. Travel is also being stopped except for those who must travel to help fight the dreaded virus.
Christmas and New Year's gatherings and public parties have already been banned. People will be allowed to go to church, but they need to go back home afterwards.
The World health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that there were 1,039 new cases of Ebola just in the past three weeks. This is still more than three times the amount in guinea, which had 328 new cases, and about nine times as many as were reported in Guinea, which had 121.
