About seven crew members have been rescued, and one person has been confirmed dead. The condition of the water where the incident took place is making further rescue efforts difficult.
Among the crew were 35 Indonesians, 13 people from the Philippines and 11 from South Korea, and one Russian inspector. The waves are currently 13 feet high and the water is freezing cold - about 14 degrees F.
The fishing ship did have eight lifeboats on it. The people who were found were in one of them, but it is not known if the other crew members made it to the boats or not after the captain gave the order to abandon the ship.
Comment: They sure could use prayer right now.
