It seems that the opposite is also true, because more US students are also deciding to study abroad. For undergraduate students, there is still fewer than ten percent.
Most of the students come from China – about 275,000 of them. This is an increase of about 17 percent from the previous year. Then comes India, with about 100,000, and then South Korea. Students from these three countries make up about half of them, and other countries include Kuwait, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and more.
An added benefit of having this many international students is the revenue. This year they added about $27 billion into the US economy, which is 3 percent more than last year.
