Work crews have already prepared emergency exit routes for the residents in case the main road becomes blocked. One road is already covered in places with lava.
The lava is currently moving at a rate of about 10 yards per hour. The lava is about a football field away but constantly getting closer. In some places it is up to 230 feet wide. It is not flowing uniformly in one direction so it is difficult to say exactly when it will reach the first residence.
Those living in Pahoa were notified a couple of weeks ago that their homes are in possible jeopardy. They were notified in advance so that they may start to move their possessions away in time.
For those who know the Bible, we know that the world is certainly getting closer to the time of Christ’s coming. In my lifetime, I do not remember there ever being so many active volcanoes at one time.
Personally, I can’t help but feel that God is being merciful and reminding people the world over that Hell is real and it is hot. His goal and intent is to show mercy and salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Turning from sin and calling on Him as Lord and Savior is necessary in order to receive forgiveness and be saved. There may not be much time left, but it always pays to be ready to meet God. This is one reason we are told that
