Children who are affected the most are young ones who often do not know what they are drinking. Side effects have included issues such as seizures, very high pressure, and irregular heart rhythms.
Between the years of 2010 and 2013, there were 5,156 cases that had been reported to the US Poison Control Centers. 40 percent of these calls involved children under the age of six.
The use of energy drinks continues to grow. Parents who use them need to ensure that young children cannot get them out of your refrigerator, or leave half-empty containers around for them to pick up and drink.
