While on earth, the Lord Jesus demonstrated that God cared for people. He healed the sick, did many miracles of healing, cast out demons, and even raised the dead. Because He was God in the flesh (Jn. 1:14), He revealed God's love for mankind. He still loves sinners – which is all of us.
Although He loved, He also clearly demonstrated that God hated some things. He often spoke out against misinterpretations of God's Laws, pride, covetousness, hypocrisy, and more. Still, He was God – the same as the God in the Old Testament – He had not changed. His visit to earth demonstrated that He loved, too, and wanted to be known.
Jesus Christ also spoke about Hell. Although, He said, it was created for the Devil and His angels (Mt. 25:41), those that reject Christ and His offer of salvation will go there with Satan. He has not changed His message. He cannot change. Why? Because He is perfection in every aspect.
The good news is that He also has not changed in the way of salvation. He died because it was necessary to purchase salvation for us. Salvation has always been by faith and not by works. Jesus told Nicodemus, in Jn. 3:15: "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
One day He will come back to earth and set up His Kingdom. As always, Christ has promised that it would be a kingdom of righteousness and evil will be eradicated from it. That message also has not changed. As God, He must judge the world and He will not neglect His duty. One day, another side of Christ will be revealed. He will become the "Lion of the tribe of Judah" – as promised – because God cannot change!
Today is the day of salvation and there is still time to call on Him for it.
