At the close of the meeting, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a statement was made showing their support for the air attacks on ISIS. That statement showed that the agreeing nations had a "shared commitment to stand united against the threat posed by all terrorism" – and it includes ISIS.
Russia continued to warn the US that it should not attack Syria. The reason given – rather hypocritically – was that it would be "an act of aggression" if it did not have the support of the UN.
10 Arab nations are in full support of the statement. They include: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
It is interesting that these nations want the US to fight for them. They all realize that ISIS is a threat to them now – or will be eventually. It is also interesting to see that there are several nations not in the list – at least not yet.
It seems like the Arab nations may be lining up and uniting, at least to some degree. Amazingly, there has not been much bragging from ISIS lately about how they will destroy America and Russia!
